Wargaming.net is a privately held strategy game development company founded in 1998.
In early 2000 Wargaming.net launched its first commercial game - DBA Online, which developed into intensive online community. DBA Online is a niche game, oriented mostly to miniature wargamers and devoted fans of ancient and medieval periods.
Running DBA Online for many years demonstrated the potential of online community-oriented games and Wargaming.net makes strong emphasis on the multiplayer aspect of its games, providing handy software and web tools as well as specially trained community moderators and support staff.
In 2003, Wargamiong.net developed Massive Assault, a global domination strategy set in futuristic sci-fi world. The game utilizes Wargaming.nets proprietary high-performance 3D engine, providing fascinating terrain, unit and effect graphics. The engine is under permanent improvement process and it will be used for our future titles.
Wargaming.net's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 2003 title, "Massive Assault" (PC).
The company has been involved titles released on the PC and Xbox 360. Of these, "World Of Tanks" (PC) has been a best selling title.
The company's most recent involvement was on the 2016 release "Master of Orion" (PC).
