In 1998, 12 veteran game makers created Black Box Games. Their goal was to make high quality video games in a workspace that was relaxed, supportive, and fun. In July of 2002, Black Box Games joined forces with Electronic Arts.
EA Black Box's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 2000 title, "NASCAR 2001" (PlayStation).
The company has been involved titles released on the PC, 3DS/2DS, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, DS/DSi, PS2, Xbox, GBA and PlayStation. Of these, "Need for Speed: Underground" (Xbox), "Skate 3" (Xbox 360), "Need For Speed: Undercover" (PS2), "Need For Speed: Undercover" (PS3), "Need For Speed: Undercover" (Xbox 360) has been a best selling title.
The company's most recent involvement was on the 2011 release "Need for Speed: The Run" (3DS/2DS).
