Dave Cox has been in the video games industry for over fifteen years and is one of Konami of
Europes longest serving employees, having been with the company for over seven years.
Working behind the scenes, he has been part of the success story that has seen Konami of Europe enjoy unprecedented success in recent years and in which its products have gained universal acclaim and attention.
In charge of Konami s European Product Management Division, he has overseen the European releases of all the companys biggest franchises including Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2:Sons of Liberty, Silent Hill series, Dancing Stage series, Castlevania series and all the incarnations of the International Superstar Soccer and the more recent Pro Evolution Soccer games.
Reporting directly to the president of Konami of Europe GmbH, Kunio Neo, he is instrumental in many of Konamis strategic decisions on products being released for Europe.
Working closely with in house development in Japan, US and Europe, the role of the Product Management Division is huge and varied and encompasses many aspects in creating the ideal product for the market from initial concept to final release.
With the continued success of Konami s products which represent diversity, quality, innovation and with a formidable reputation in the marketplace, Konami continues to strengthen its position as one of the top publishers in the world for interactive entertainment.
Dave Cox's first video game work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1998 title, "Metal Gear Solid" (PlayStation) as Packaging/Manual Design. Of the titles listing Dave within the credits , "Metal Gear Solid" (PlayStation) has been a best selling title.
