Left school at the age of 16 in 1986 and joined Nestle in Croydon gaining a position of accounts clerk until leaving at the end of December 1989. After a number of temporary jobs including working for a paintball shop/site, he ended up working as a self-employed courier contracted to BritDoc in May 1990. After less then a year he had become a supervisor covering SW London, Surrey and parts of Hampshire and Sussex. By April 1994, he had had enough of the 60 hours per week night time work and managed to get employment in the accounts department of Archer Leisure Ltd (now trading as Cannons Leisure), and after 4 years became the admin manager at Cannons City Health Club. During all this time, computers were a main part of Ray's life and so he decided to change career paths and train to become a pc engineer leaving Cannons at the end of January 2000. After finishing his training, Ray gained employment with Eidos on 2nd May 2000 where he spent 4 months working in the QA department before moving into his new roll as a Compatibility Engineer. By 2003 he moved into his current roll as a Mastering Engineer.
Ray Mullen's first video game work that SPOnG is aware of is the 2000 title, "Three Kingdoms: Fate Of The Dragon" (PC) as QA/Test. Of the titles listing Ray within the credits , "LEGO Star Wars" (PS2), "Championship Manager Season 03/04" (PC), "Hitman 2: Silent Assassin" (Xbox), "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend" (PSP), "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" (PC) has been a best selling title.
Ray's most recent involvement was as QA/Test on the 2006 release "Championship Manager 2007" (PC).
