Summary

Seven: The Days Long Gone is something of a dark horse, rolling out of studio Fool's Theory at the end of 2017 without a barrage of press attention. It has the makings, however, of a cult favourite. It brings together the isometric role-playing game action of Baldur's Gate with the stealth and parkour-style environment traversal of Assassin's Creed into a game that's very much its own thing.

You play as Teriel, a master thief who has a symbiotic relationship to an ancient daemon, Artanak. You would be forgiven for assuming at this point that the game is another fantasy RPG loaded to the gills with magic, but you'd be wrong. It's the far future and you've been deported to the prison island of Peh on a mission for the all-powerful emperor. You'll uncover all manner of murky secrets, dark age superstition and weird technology as you work to decide the fate of the entire Vetrall Empire.

Peh is a sandbox world that's open to you from the start. Highly reactive, it offers up a huge range of solutions to any given problem. Throw in a sizeable skill tree based on ability and equipment, and this world is your post apocalyptic oyster - one you'll explore in a way that we haven't quite seen before.

Owners of the Enhanced Edition get the added bonus of the Drowned Past DLC, which packs in an additional seven hours of gameplay packed with a new storyline, weapons, enemies and loot, as well as some quality of life fixes such as framerate improvements.
