Override: Mech City Brawl: Super Charged Mega Edition - PS4

It is a fact long established in the world of video games that knocking giant robots around using other giant robots is a ripping good time. Few games, however, have grasped this in quite the way and on quite the scale of Override: Mech City Brawl. It has a bit of a look of the old PS2 treat War of the Monsters, with giant cartoon mechs smashing each other (and occasionally aliens) around and flattening cities as they do it.

In the true tradition of giant robots you can control each limb of your machine separately or string together combos for maximum devastation, throwing out fiery uppercuts, suplexes, projectiles and more. You might even be able to pull a sneaky little transformation out of the bag while you're at it! The combat is crunchy stuff that offers a fair level of strategy without overwhelming those just wanting to jump in for some casual fun.

There's a single-player mode in which you can fight not only other mechs but also colossal alien hordes. The real meat, though, is surely in the multiplayer mode. You can take it online or settle down to some split-screen action from your living room. You can also team up, and one option that's sure to elicit either furious fits of laughter or deep levels of satisfaction is each taking a limb to master and co-ordinate.

Featuring gundam types, something quite reminiscent of Mechagodzilla and one robot that might or might not be a giant SNES, there's definitely something for everyone in Override: Mech City Brawl. more
