Xenon Racer - Switch

Xenon Racer could almost be a prequel to WipEout. In the near future, the official racing federation has paused all its events for a season to give teams time to switch over to flying vehicles. The top hybrid car manufacturers decide there's time for one last hurrah, however, and organise a rogue championship for rookies to test their mettle in and take their vehicles, powered by a mix of electricity and xenon gas, to the streets of cities across the world.

The result is a game played at breakneck pace in the face of massive g-force, with vehicles careening through the neon streets of the future. There's a strong emphasis on speed and drifting, with a well-executed drift building up power for a handy turbo boost. While this is arcade racing through and through, though, it rewards you for a clean lap. Bashing into walls or other cars results in you taking damage, and once your health bar runs out you'll die and have to respawn, resulting in precious seconds being lost.

Xenon Racer offers you a range of different options to play with, including single player, split-screen and online multiplayer races for you to test yourself against.
