Summary

Packaged together for the first time are Rebellion's spin-off titles from the Sniper Elite series. The title 'Zombie Army Trilogy' doesn't leave a huge amount of ambiguity as to what the game is about, but let's lay it out, just in case.

There's an army of zombies afoot, and it's your job to trying to vanquish it. Straightforward enough, right? As everyone knows, the best way to kill a zombie is to destroy its brain. And, of course, a good way to obliterate a brain is with a sniper's bullet. Put those facts together and you've got the core of Zombie Army Trilogy's three episodes.

The game plays out across an alternate history in which Hitler's final maniacal act was to unleash a horde of the undead onto the world. As such, you won't be playing as a gung-ho American hero but as Germans trying to save what's left of their country by chasing down relics that might stop the zombies' march.

Because taking out zombies isn't quite the same as taking out strategic military targets, you'll have a few other tools at your disposal beyond your trusty sniper rifle. Other weapons include a sub-machine gun, a shotgun and a bazooka. For even more exclusive power, there are also land mines, trip mines and grenades.

Beyond the solo campaign, there's also the option to play with up to three other gamers, and for many players this will be the heart of the game.

For those looking to while away some time disintegrating the undead, Zombie Army Trilogy will be a welcome console outing.
