Summary
The bad buys from the Angry Birds franchise now have their own game as Pigs fly, roll, motor and bomb in Bad Piggies in this total translation of the Android and iOS device title to PC.
Set on Piggy Island, the game's art-style will be familiar to anybody who has played any of the Angry Birds titles that preceded it: large, cartoonish graphics in high colour with easy to view iconised options.
As ever, the Bad Pigs are out to get their trotters on the birds' eggs, the twist here is that instead of flinging and catapulting birds around the many differing landscapes, the gamer must construct amazing and amusing vehicles with which to transport the hogs.
These vehicles can be anything from wind-powered trucks to flying machines and water-going combinations. All of these vehicles must be built using the pieces of equipment made available to the player.
The 60 levels provided in the standalone title offer many hours of play as millions of combinations of equipment are available to create mad machines.
Once the standalone levels are completed, there are 30 additional levels to gain by getting three stars in all other levels. There are also four sandbox levels that enable gamers to explore and use the 33 separate pieces of kit to build the ultimate machine.
New and younger gamers (or anybody who gets stuck in fact) can also pay for assistance by “hiring” a Piggy Engineer to help think their way through a difficult level.
