Summary

BlazBlue became the surprise fighting hit of 2010 when Arc System Works decided to bring the 2D sprite-fest from the Japanese arcade scene onto home consoles.

Now, after an exciting HD update on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the fight is being taken to the handhelds with a sequel to Continuum Shift landing on the 3DS in all its undiluted brawling glory.

As you would expect from the series, each of the 18 fighters come complete with their own unique fighting style, giving players a huge opportunity to explore every character and discover their favourite. On top of the standard story modes comes two new ones for Sector Seven and NOL Academy, giving you even more content to plough through.

Continuum Shift 2 somehow manages to pack in all the past DLC content add-ons from previous entries in the series into a 3DS cartridge, along with a brand new mode called Abyss which will allow you to level up your chosen character in order to tackle waves of enemies that get harder as you plummet down the pit.

Along with the BlazBlue Challenge and Tutorial modes to keep the action accessible and interesting, Continuum Shift 2 also contains a Stylish Mode which offers a more comfortable gaming experience on portable. To top it all off, the 3DS version comes with the usual stereoscopic view that makes the action even more intense.
