Who says sports activities were just for your Wii? Ubisoft has picked up the slack for the Nintendo DS and created Sports Collection, a compilation of 15 popular outdoor activities that will give you the finger practice you need before hitting the pitch. Compete with your friends by selecting various realistic venues from a world map and taking part in authentic competitive sports.
It’s easy to find a favourite and play it until you truly master it. Serve a few rounds in tennis, or try to get a home run in baseball. Show off your striker skills in football, and beat the world’s best times in running competitions. You can even compete in skiing and kayaking activities, making this a truly unique sports package indeed.
Once you’ve found a sport to play, pick an athlete from a selection of 18 different profiles - each one having their own strengths, weaknesses and special abilities. Make a note of their Strength, Energy and Speed counters and adjust your gameplay style to suit their performances. A whole range of Nintendo DS input is used across all the games, from the touch screen to the microphone, and you can change between three levels of difficulty according to how well you’re progressing.
