Summary

Ant Nation brings up that memorable childhood pastime of days spent looking at insects in the back garden with a magnifying glass, and hands it to you on the Nintendo DS with a huge twist. With throwbacks to owning ant farms all the way, this strategy simulation game sees you nurturing and raising tiny colonies to defend the planet against evil robot insect invaders.

By creating a well-resourced Ant Nation, you can fend off the callous aliens by tapping, zapping and manipulating your ants by training them and interacting with the environment around them. By using the stylus, you can design your very own maze of tunnels and create ant strengthening facilities. Tapping each ant makes them physically stronger, while putting water on them raises their resistance to liquid and burning them slightly improves their tolerance to heat. It's the classic case of mildly terrorising small insects all over again, only this time you're doing it for the sake of the planet!

There are nearly 100 missions to play through, with each task demanding a prepared colony to defend your world. Just like a town or city, you have to keep sustaining your ant population and strengthening their abilities, otherwise your colony will flounder and be open to attack. Ant Nation has all the fun of inspecting the tiny creatures without the fear of having any renegade insects escape out of your Nintendo DS console.
