A late November 2008 entry in Ubisoft's Petz range of games, My Puppy Family has a cute factor of 14 out of 10. The game enables you to raise and care for a whole menagerie of mutts, and if - like us - you can't have a real puppy for one reason or another, it's a fun alternative.
In this DS-only game, you can select a puppy from a wide variety of breeds and watch it grow and develop a unique personality. As you care for your pet, you'll form a bond with him and develop a lasting relationship. You can bring up your 'baby' in your own manner and style and see how it affects your puppy's relationships with other animals, as you are not limited to just one pet with My Puppy Family, oh no. You can have up to three pets on screen at the same time and observe how well - or otherwise - they get on as they play together.
There is also the option to experiment with breeding, as you can bring different breeds together and create a unique pet. From Golden Retrievers to Poodles, there's something for everyone. Rewards are available as you play through the game, wherein you can unlock costumes, toys and accessories. New environments such as a beach or a field covered in snow can also be unlocked as you progress.
