Imagine having a pen that you could use to travel through time. A quick note to yourself with this week's lottery numbers here, a trip to your favourite games retailer to bring back Grand Theft Auto XII there... Life would be sweet. Such is the premise of Time Hollow!
The game follows the chronal adventures of Ethan Kairos. He's a regular teenager with regular teenage problems - his uncle mooches money off his Dad, his Mum won't put enough seasoning on her cooking. The usual! On the morning of his 17th birthday, however, he wakes to find his parents are gone, and as far as everyone but him is concerned, they have been for 12 years! Fortunately, Ethan still has fragmentary memories of them and a mysterious pen in his hand that can create tunnels through time.
To progress, players must employ classic point and click game mechanics to travel through his home town, speaking to people and uncovering clues. Once he's worked out what he needs to do, he must go to a key location and create a portal to a crucial moment in the past, changing it in the hope of improving things. We say 'hope' because, let's face it, time travel has a bit of a tendency to go wrong, and you may find yourself having to correct your mistakes.
With its compelling storyline and striking visuals, Time Hollow is sure to prove a head-bender for the point and click crowd.
