Summary

If there's one sports genre that has really shone out on the Wii since the very first console got plugged into a telly, it's golf – thank Wii Sports for that. With Carnival Games: Mini-Golf, 2K hopes to benefit from all that club love, not to mention the success of its previous game in the franchise – Carnival Funfair Games.

The game is, essentially, what it sounds like - Crazy Golf on the Wii. Players swing the Wii Remote as they would a golf club and try to navigate humps, bumps, holes and the occasional intruding alligator to get the ball in the sweet spot in as few strokes as possible.

Don't expect the course to be drab, either. It features 27 nutty holes spanning nine theme park-style courses including Prehistoric Times, Wild West, Amazon Jungle, Pirate’s Cove, Fairytale Land, Egyptian Pyramids, Haunted Mansion.

If the thrill of a birdie or an eagle isn't enough to play for, you could try competing for any of over 100 prizes such as custom clubs, special golf balls and Wacky Wearables, all of which can be used in the game.

To keep you on your toes there's a spot of action to contend with, too. You'll need to battle pirate ships, get your groove on to jungle beats, glide through the air as a pterodactyl and shoot ghastly ghouls.

The above can be tackled head-on in single-player mode, or with up to four of your mates.
