Summary
Had Captain Jack Sparrow told the story, recounting his many dangerous adventures and daring escapes Pirates of the Caribbean might have had a very different storyline. That's the premise behind The Legend of Jack Sparrow, a retelling of Walt Disney's blockbuster film, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Did Captain Jack really sack Nassau Port without firing a shot or ride away from a deserted island on the back of sea turtles? Now it's possible to find out the truth for yourself.
Captain Jack Sparrow is played by Johnny Depp in the movie, and according to the actor his character is based on Rolling Stones lead guitarist and notorious hell-raiser Keith Richards. The reasoning behind Mr. Depp's choice was fairly simple. He believed that pirates were the rock stars of their period, and naturally, the greatest rock star ever to walk the face of the earth is old nine lives Keef.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow will give gamers the opportunity to plunder, swordfight and shout 'Ahoy me hearties!' through 12 unique locations. Each location is full of interactive environments and exciting gameplay. The point-of-view used in the game is third-person, and action takes place in a variety of settings from the film, including moonlit caves, wrecked ships and burning buildings. It is possible to play on your own or with a friend using the co-operative multiplayer option, playing side-by-side as Will Turner or Elizabeth Swann and of course, Captain Jack Sparrow.
There are many hidden treasures and secrets to be found throughout the game. These ultimately allow you to purchase upgrades that will give your character special abilities and advanced moves. For example, as the game progresses, various weapons unlock and become available, including swords that will allow for more advanced combos to be executed.
