Summary

You need a holiday. Be honest about it. At the time of this game's release, the dreary winter months are upon us and everyone's suffering from the lack of sun. Can't afford that trip to the Bahamas you've been eyeing up? Team Ninja has the perfect alternative with Dead or Alive: Xtreme 2. Get yourself off to Zack Island for a bit of frolicking down on the beach with some of the loveliest ladies the world of gaming has to offer.

The action takes place after Dead or Alive 4 and Zack has won. To celebrate, he heads off in his submarine and pulls his island out of the sea with some sort of space laser (we're not kidding). And thus begins your holiday. As with Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball, you get to choose from the wealth of bikini-clad beauties that is the Dead or Alive cast, all stunningly rendered and barely dressed.

Fun is the name of the game. The spotlight's shifted from volleyball this time and the most impressive feature is the watersports. You'll be able to race through the tropical sea on your Personal Water Craft in competition with the other fun-seekers, or just cruise around the island for the hell of it. A lot of time has been put into the water (and the rest of the island, for that matter) to make it look and feel just right.

Beach Volleyball does make a return, of course, so you'll get the opportunity to bounce around the beach and get sand in your bikini. Other favourites such as hip wrestling, rope-pulling, water-sliding and the hopping game also make an appearance.

Naturally, you'll need to customise your appearance. No-one wants to be seen on the beach in the same bikini two days running. So you might need to head over to the casino on an evening to win yourself some cash to afford those much needed accessories. Alternatively, gift-giving makes a comeback, so you can spend your hard-won cash on making friends and influencing people.

Go on, cast off those winter doldrums and treat yourself to a (sort of) holiday.
