Disneys The Little Mermaid: Magic in Two Kingdoms for the Game Boy Advance is loosely based on the 1989 Disney film The Little Mermaid.
The game invites children to experience their favourite moments from the aforementioned film. Players assume the role of Ariel but can also play as some of her many friends, including Sebastian, Flounder and Prince Eric. Fans will be pleased to know that all the characters from the film have made their way into the game, as it also includes Ursula and King Triton. There is fun to be had by playing music with Sebastian, illuminating Ariel and Eric as they boat on a lake and racing against Jetsam and Flotsam. You must help Sebastian escape a crazed French Chef who wants to serve him up as a delicious starter, save Prince Eric from a sinking ship, and defeat the evil Ursula by destroying her shell charm.
With eight unlockable games included, there should be plenty to keep the youth occupied. An added feature that will no doubt have hardcore fans of The Little Mermaid swinging from the rafters is the ability to view photo stills from the feature film.
Disneys The Little Mermaid: Magic in Two Kingdoms for the Game Boy Advance is definitely a game aimed at children and a good one at that.
