This heart pumping, state of the art action game introduces us to Rockford's son and daughter and goes a long way to explain why Rockford has been playing in the dirt all these years. As you set out upon your quest, explore the game's many worlds and numerous levels as you collect your tools and weapons all the while preparing for boss encounters with the Denizens of Darkness™ . The proprietary Alternate Reality Engine™ provides two distinct POVs each with superb lighting and flexible camera angles. Whether immersed in one of the 3D worlds or when playing in the more traditional 2D side scrolling mode, players will need to stay alert and move carefully as the underlying physics of gravity plays an ever more significant role in this new sequel than in the original.
In The Guardian Quest players will find that they can not travel as freely about the levels as was possible in earlier Boulder Dash games. They will need to use parachutes, jumping shoes, picks, ladders, jetpacks and S.C.U.B.A. equipment to successfully combat the forces of gravity. Gamers will need to learn some new skills as well. To finish the quest they will have to manage their inventory of weapons and tools and learn how, when and where to use them.
