Summary
Just another day in the Looney Tunes universe, then. Taz, fooling around with his sweetheart of a She-Devil when, all of a sudden, the skies darken. Trouble is coming in the form of motor-mouthed Sheriff Yosemite Sam. He's determined to make Taz his latest attraction at Sam Francisco Zoo. The lawman with the oversized hat captures Taz, puts him in a cage, and this is where your game starts.
Zoo management simulator fans can stop reading now, because Taz: Wanted is a traditional platformer/puzzler, not some point and click sedative. It's fur-flying activity from here on in, with our favourite devil having a few reservations about being locked up and stared at by visitors to Sam's zoo. As soon as the game begins, you break Taz out of his cage with a vicious spin and head straight for the Tutorial. This section will tell you all you need to know about how to progress through the game. What it won't tell you is just how tricky things can get in Taz: Wanted. The free-roaming approach favoured by the developer means that almost all corners of the game are ripe for exploration, and with four huge worlds at Taz's mercy, there's no shortage of places to go, things to do and disguises to wear. Ah yes, disguises. There are ways to make progress simpler for Taz: donning disguises to escape his captor's henchmen is one way. There are plenty of ACME twirls, bonus power-ups and postcards to collect along the way too. There will also be a few familiar faces from the Looney Tunes universe popping up throughout the game. Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Tweety, Wile E Coyote and Elmer Fudd are among the characters making an appearance.
