Summary
In what is undoubtedly the best and possibly only worthwhile domestic flight simulator, there are a great number of expansions, extensions and add-ons produced by a variety of third parties. One of the more prominent producers of these add-on packs is Just Flight, and next in their line up of comprehensive additions to the Flight Simulator series is Combat Jet Trainer.
Based upon the Top Gun style fighter plane, the L-39 Albatros and its variant, the L-39ZA, Combat Jet Trainer uses the same software originally developed to train actual fighter pilots. Okay, things have moved on a little, but the basics are still the same, instantly making Combat Jet Trainer one of the most technically accurate Flight Simulator expansions around.
But Just Flight believe Combat Jet Trainer is something more than a mere add on pack. Aside from two new planes to experiment with, the game comes equipped with extensive manuals, region maps and scenery. Sure, it needs Microsoft’s efforts to run, but it’s well worth it.
