The legendary Arthur, Merlin, Morgana, Lancelot and Gawaine are famous from books, shows, and movies. But as of late 2000, you were able to find them on your PC in Cryos video game, Arthurs Knights. The game proved so successful that the company decided to release the second part of the ongoing game, imaginatively titled Arthurs Knights 2.
The tale of Arthurs Knights 2 picks up where its predecessor left off. After defeating his not-so-friendly brother, Morganor, Bradwen (played by you) is named King. But soon after, he discovers the forces of darkness have cursed his whole family. Eager to save them, he embarks upon another quest, filled with the medieval fantasy.
Arthurs Knights is not a combat-based game, but more of an interactive novel that incorporates several role-playing aspects. The journey through the game entails the lead character interacting with dozens of other NPCs (non-playable characters), solving puzzles, obtaining clues and items, and travelling across many mythical environments. You will also have numerous encounters with enemy armies and dragons during the games 20 or so hours of gameplay.
If fast action is what youre after, go play a racing game or a beat-em-up. But if slow intellectual, brain-teasing adventures is what youre looking for, Arthurs Knights 2 will do just nicely.
