Summary
Microsoft Flight Simulator games have played host to dozens of upgrades and add-on packs, helping to keep the popular series at the top of the tree. And Abacus is continuing its MS add-on onslaught with Warbirds Extreme.
This edition is compatible with Microsoft’s Combat Flight Simulator 2, Flight Simulator 2000 and Flight Simulator 2002, and features 11 new aircraft, including the F-15C Eagle, four versions of the F-16D Falcon, the A-10 Thunderbolt and the B-2 Spirit. We like B-2 Bombers!
These aircraft can be controlled in any of the compatible simulator scenarios, campaigns and solo missions, and are accurately modelled and feature amazingly detailed cockpits. Sure, seeing hundreds of little buttons and dials on the screen can be overwhelming even to the most ardent FS fan, but the entire selection of aircraft can be controlled through the use of a comparatively simple flight yolk, which comes highly recommended.
Warbirds Extreme is a welcome contribution to the ever-growing Microsoft Flight Simulator community.
