In the Game Boy version of Buzz Lightyear you get to take control of Disney’s superhero and help rid the universe of evil baddies. Based on the popular computer generated films, Buzz Lightyear is a combination of platform game and racing game.
In each level you must race the villain to the end of the stage and once you make it there, you must defeat him or her in a duel. Scattered throughout the level are coins that can be used to purchase additional weapons and crafts. For five coins you can purchase a hover-board that makes navigating the level a lot quicker. Using the appropriate colour coded weapon on the boss will make your gaming life that little bit easier.
Buzz Lightyear is aimed at the younger section of the gameplaying audience. The game is easy to learn and is still enjoyable the second time around. There are a total of twelve levels to complete and you get ranked on your performance throughout the levels. Buzz Lightyear on the Game Boy is a basic but entertaining Game Boy title, and if you want to take Buzz wherever you go, this is the game for you.
