Summary

Following on from its original, Tombi, Tombi 2 is a continuing adventure about a pink-haired jungle boy. Now he’s all grown up, and the Evil Pigs have returned to get their revenge.

The story goes thus… After defeating the Evil Pigs in the first adventure, Tombi was relaxing back at home, when a mystery letter was found in his mail box. Tabby has been kidnapped, courtesy of the Evil Pigs. Not knowing what he was letting himself in for, he took off to rescue her. It’s not the most inventive story in recent years, but the way in which you get to the end is well told through you, the player.

Tombi comes complete with the standard attacks and jumping methods you would expect from a plaform title. Platforms are the name of the game here, as you have to work your way through a ton of linear 3D levels. There is one added difference to this title. While jumping around from platform to platform, you must fulfil any tasks given to you by the characters within the level.

As a platform title, it fares quite well in comparison to other games of the genre, and with the character interactivity there is plenty to do here.
