Summary
Point-and-click strategy games have proved immensely popular among PC fans. Perhaps this is due to the ease of obtaining a point and click mouse, who can say? Age of Empires proved popular enough to warrant a gold edition, a sequel, and now, an expansion pack to the sequel named Age of Empires 2: The Conquerors.
This brand new expansion includes a whole feast of new features. There are real world maps such as France and Great Britain to build your empire on. New modes of play such as ‘Wonder Race’ and ‘King of the Hill’ have been included to help introduce new strategies of play. A new selection of units (buildings, transport, etc.) has been made available in an attempt to vary the environment a little. Also, the AI of the game has been significantly improved. Villagers now collect wood and gold using their own initiative after a building has been constructed. Age of Empires 2: Conquerors is a smart game, in the literal sense of the word.
Anybody who consciously bought a copy of this game will probably be a fan of the strategy genre, so it may well be worth your while investing in this great expansion pack. Be warned though, A of E: Conquerors requires you to invest in Age of Empires 2.
