Summary

The third instalment in the Moto Racer series sees the brand go global, which means more countries, more tracks and a level of progression that will have you pulling your hair out while you're still wearing your helmet. Your author has played a lot of these type of games and I have to say that Moto Racer World Tour is the toughest of the bunch. Whether you choose to hit the trail for a little bump and grind or sling your leg over a sports superbike and head for the likes of Suzuka or Hockenheim, the competition, right from the off, is keen to say the least. A word of warning to the casual gamer - to get anywhere with Moto Racer World Tour you have to forget the meaning of casual. This game is addictive in the extreme, and your inevitable sequence of constant failures will force you to keep coming back to try and conquer it.

Moto Racer World Tour, like its predecessors, is practically two games on one disc, with the aforementioned Trail and Road Race options each providing plenty of action. It also comes with a cast-iron guarantee of longevity, seeing as its learning curve is such a steep incline. The difficulty in game progression is in no way a criticism, because you sure get your money's worth with this game. Your will to win will most likely mean it will take up semi-permanent residence in your console. And rightly so. Moto Racer World Tour takes the best of both motorcycle genres and puts them in one package which is graphically superior to any similar title, has top-notch handling and physics, and makes a lot of (engine) noise.
