Summary

The Blue Harvest, a military train developed by NATO, has been hijacked by terrorists. Military bodyguard, Jack Morton, having narrowly escaped death in the terrorist attack, sneaks inside the Blue Harvest, in a solo bid to take control of the train and save the whole of Europe from a nuclear crisis. The storyline of Chase the Express has the phrase ‘Hollywood action film’ written all over it.

The game is based loosely on versions of Capcom’s Resident Evil and Dino Crisis series. This will become apparent the moment you take control of the controls. Your character, Morton, is controlled in similar fashion, and has a nigh-on identical inventory system. What makes this game different are the locations. The majority of missions are set, unsurprisingly, on the train, and as such restrict the variety of the game’s structure. At least the bad guys are human beings, although they all have an evil streak within them, otherwise they wouldn’t be shooting at you.

If you can handle the claustrophobic environments for extensive playing sessions, or you’re a trainspotter, then Chase the Express should be right down your alley.
