Summary

Theme parks have become increasingly popular in recent years, thanks to technological advances permitting the creation of some truly extreme rides. It seems only natural that this family day out would be converted into a video game of some type. This eventually happened back in 1994 on 16 and 32-bit platforms, and now, six years later, it returns in full 3D to give you rollercoaster enthusiasts a chance to medal with metal in Theme Park World.

Stunning visuals give Theme Park World a distinct sense of surrealism due to realistic cartoon type graphic presentation. While perhaps visually aimed towards younger audiences, there are many features that only older players will be able to use for their own gain within the game. Most of the theme park’s rides are not customisable in terms of design, although the main essence of this title, rollercoasters, are open to alterations in many ways. You are free to run the track wherever you please, just as long as your design is compliant with the laws of physics. If your coaster crashes the consequences are heavy, and it will take time for your customers to regain confidence in the park.

If consider yourself to be a good business man and a good manager, you shouldn’t have any trouble creating your very own Alton Towers. Just watch the money roll in, baby!
