Summary

To Nintendo’s R&D department, the snowboarding genre was something that should be left to the Americans, man! But no longer, dude! Out came 1080 Snowboarding, and Nintendo got cool! Yeah baby, yeah!

One of Nintendo’s greatest attributes is the ability to improve on other peoples losses. 1080 Snowboarding is everything Cool Boarders on PlayStation should have been. Great graphics, great courses (not tracks), great motion capture; the list goes on.

Nintendo have researched this game well, using all the American terminology for the sport correctly.

There are a great deal of stunts to learn in one of the extra race options, including - yes - the 1080 spin. Some stunts are difficult to pull off, although thoroughly satisfying when successfully executed.

The two-player option provides the largest part of the entertainment throughout the game. Showing off in front of your friends is very satisfying, but make a mistake and you will be laughed at. The decision isn't always yours, but that's just the way the snow crumbles.
