Summary

RoboCop 2 for the NES is based on the movie of the same name. The game is a side-on, scrolling Shoot'Em Up, in which players assume the role of RoboCop. The premise of the game is to collect or destroy at least two-thirds of the drug 'nuke' in each level and arrest two-thirds of the suspects by running into them (in contrast to shooting them). If Robocop does not attain the required amounts of nuke or number of arrests, then he only has two chances in the game to prove his efficiency at a shooting range. If he succeeds, he may continue onto the next level. If he fails, or if both chances at the shooting range are already used up, he must repeat the level.

Once you start playing RoboCop 2, it is very hard to put the control pad down. The game is easy to get to grips with but should provide even the most experienced gamer with a challenge. Controlling the tin man of law and order is straightforward enough: the big man jumps by pressing the A button and the B button shoots. The graphics are good to say it is a NES game and the sprites are colourful. As with other NES titles, the music and sound effects are the worst aspect of the game by a long stretch.

So, if you are a fan of talking police men who are made out of metal, this should be right up your street - PUNK!
