GUNGRAVE VR: Loaded Coffin Edition - PS4

We won't lie, it's an odd choice - bringing the VR adaptation of a niche anime that was last seen on Western games consoles back in the PlayStation 2 era is far from an obvious move for Marvelous Europe. It's an adaptation that's certainly been done with gusto, though! And it has a pedigree, too - originally created by Trigun manga-ka Yasuhiro Nightow and with the designers of the PS2 classic on hand to consult, it's a release that will certainly make fans happy.

After a battle against the strange Orgmen creatures changed by a mysterious drug, SEED, Mika Asagi has traced its origins to South City, where a new infestation is getting into full swing. She seeks the assistance of the undead assassin Beyond the Grave, AKA Gungrave, after 14 years of rest. It's up to you to put this uprising down and stop the flow of SEED once and for all in a frenzy of action and bullets.

Developer IGGYMOB has taken an interesting approach to implementing VR. While some of it's first-person in the way that VR gamers have become accustomed to, at other points it dodges the movement issues that plague some games by taking a third-person point of view.

It's all delivered in an updated version of the over-the-top art style seen in the original Gungrave game, so longtime fans are certainly in for a treat! more
