Summary

FlingSmash for the Wii comes from Nintendo's own internal development team – it also comes complete with a Wii Remote Plus in order to smack the game's hero, Zip, around the tropical island of Suthon in both vertical and horizontal modes.

The game is a side-scrolling action outing which somehow manages to combine the agility and skills required by a tennis player with the reflexes of a pinball game as the gamer uses their wits and the Wii Remote Plus as a racquet to bash ball-shaped Zip in his defence against the arch-enemy Omminus who has invaded the island.

The battle takes place over eight classically Nintendo brightly coloured worlds that require Zip to bash through barriers and solve puzzles. Zip must also be changed into various forms from a shrunken, fattened ball to a ball of steel.

Two-player action is also available as Zip's partner and co-defender, Pip comes into play.

All of the eight levels feature unique challenges and culminate in boss battles. Also included in the experience are unlockable mini-games and eight extra levels that can be played in one or two-player modes.
