Summary

Rumours are a curious thing, aren't they? If any of us were to suggest that we were, in fact, from a floating castle, we'd be laughed right out of town and into somewhere with nice, white padded walls. It's the widely held opinion of the people who reside in the Grand Duchy of High Lagaard that the Duke is descended from residents of just such a place.

When a crisis hits the nation, it is decreed that the first person to get hold of the Grail of Kings from the mythical castle will be rewarded by wealth and fame beyond imagining. And... off you trot!

You'll build a party of adventurers from 12 different classes, choosing everything from their names and sexes to advanced settings like combat formation, skills and spells.

Lest you doubted that this is one for the hardcore, the game features a mapping system, through which you can chart your progress. Younger gamers might be scratching their heads and wondering why the game doesn't map your progress automatically. Older gamers, however, will remember how crucial a pencil and paper was for charting areas as you pass through them and the joy to be had from it.

If you're looking for something a bit more old school than you typically see on contemporary handheld consoles, this is your boy.
