Summary

As one of Disney’s most loved characters, Donald Duck is finally set to make his outing into the world of 3D video games. Developed by Ubi Soft, creators of world renowned Rayman, this Quack Attack adventure looks to be among some of the best 3D platform games around. Similar to the likes of Crash Bandicoot and Pandemonium, and taking on a linear role, this latest adventure looks to provide some level of challenge for everyone, whether you are a newcomer or a veteran of the industry.

Levels take on three forms: traditional side-on scrolling, into the screen, and out of the screen. Each point of view presents its own rewards and challenges. Thanks to Ubi Soft, the game levels have been cleverly designed around the Donald Duck Universe, and will teach players to utilise all of Donald Duck abilities in his adventure to rescue his soul mate Daisy from the evil Merlock. Your adventure will take place across four differently themed worlds, and across as many as 24 cunningly designed levels. Players are guaranteed to experience more than a little frustration at some point in the adventure. Thanks to the technological abilities of the Nintendo 64 and its 4Mb expansion pack, this looks to be one of the most advanced versions of the game.

While Quack Attack has been aimed at a younger audience, there are some areas of the game that will test any game-playing fanatic. A great challenge set by platform gurus, Ubi Soft.
